ABOUT ME My goal as a therapist is to help people find healing & joy in their lives so that they can live as they were created to & reach out beyond themselves. I have been a therapist for 7 years and worked with people of all ages (children, teens, families, parents, adults, couples) using a variety of therapy modalities including: cognitive, Christian, art, and play therapies. I tend to use a strength-based approach to therapy, which means I go where my clients need/want to go and I encourage the strengths I see in them while also promoting growth in other areas. I have experience in helping people develop healthier coping skills for stress, anxiety, anger, grief & depression, as well as improve relationships with their children, spouses and extended families. Some of my favorite things to do are to help clients see the good in their lives, then dream of the future and develop practical steps towards achieving those dreams. It is very fulfilling to see people make progress in areas they desire to see change, and to recognize their own strengths! A few stats: 1993–graduated from Bell County High School in KY 1998- completed my BS in Child and Family Studies from EKU, Richmond, KY 2015–earned my MA in Licensed Professional Clinical Counseling from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA 2017–obtained a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of KY 2019–became a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in KY I continue to hone my clinical skills with ongoing education.
