Stacy Mason

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Putnam County, New York with more than 20 years in the field. I am the mom of two young adult sons with special needs and specialize in working with people and families with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a deep understanding of how difficult it can be to raise a child with special needs, and with issues related to advocating for a special needs child with a school district or with other government entities. I am very holistic, and enjoy looking at alternatives to medication whenever possible. In addition to my specialty in ASD, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, substance abuse issues, and family issues. I have worked in Community Mental Health Centers, with incarcerated women, in a hospital detox unit, and in private practice. My counseling style is warm , supportive, positive and compassionate. I will help you to identify your strengths and find solutions to your problems. My approach is Client-Centered and Humanistic and employs Cognitive-Behavioral techniques. I really enjoy what I do!
