Dr. Sonia Smith

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York, (LCSW-R), certified Family Life Educator (NAD), an informed therapist in Complicated Grief Treatment Therapy (Center for Complicated Grief), an Empowerment Facilitator with the 4 Real Women International Organization, Inc. (4RWI), and a Relationship Life Coach. I have over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of Social Work supporting individuals, couples and families across a broad scope of life issues, including prevention of child abuse and neglect, grief and bereavement, domestic violence, adolescent gang involvement, community violence and trauma. I specialize in family therapy, psychotherapy and mental health counseling that assist couples, individuals, and families regain rightful balance in their relationships with each other, and their overall wellbeing. I am also a passionate and active advocate for and voice against social injustices that affect the lives of individuals and families, especially women and children.
