Dr. Sidney Dang

I am a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an APA-accredited program, in Chicago. I take a client-centered, strengths-based perspective while integrating evidence-based approaches while working with individuals in therapy. It’s important that I am present with my clients and equip them with the skills that they need to help them move towards goals. I have over 10 years of experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and a variety of treatment settings including but not limited to private practice, community mental health, residential treatment, hospitals, and schools. Additionally, I’ve co-authored a research article entitled “When Diagnostic Labels Mask Trauma,” as well as a book chapter (“Exploring the Healing Powers of Hip-Hop: Increasing Therapeutic Efficacy, Utilizing the Hip-Hop Culture as an Alternative Platform for Expression and Connection”). I have also presented at a number of professional conferences to share my work related to utilizing multicultural and experiential approaches, as well as disseminating information with his research team about the subjective experiences of adolescents.
