Welcome – I’m glad you’re here. My journey into counseling started with a deep desire to help people feel seen, heard, and truly supported. I began my academic path in 2003, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC Wilmington. In 2018, I completed my Master’s in Counseling at Wake Forest University, a program accredited by CACREP, which ensures the highest standards in counseling education. Before becoming a counselor, I worked in nursing, where I often witnessed the emotional and mental health needs that went unspoken. That experience opened my heart to the healing power of talk therapy, and it still inspires the work I do today. In our sessions, I bring warmth, empathy, and real human connection. My approach blends Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused strategies, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques. But more than that, I create a space where you don’t have to perform or pretend. It’s okay to show up exactly as you are. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, identify what’s holding you back, and build a path forward that feels both empowering and sustainable. Whether you’re navigating grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk beside you with honesty and care. I have over 12 years of experience and advanced training in Grief and Loss, Trauma Counseling, Couples Counseling, and Group Therapy. I’ve had the honor of working with military families, LGBTQ+ individuals, people living alternative lifestyles, trauma survivors, and those facing serious illness. If you’re looking for a counselor who will meet you with compassion and help you grow at your own pace, I’d be honored to work with you.
