As a lifelong social worker with over 25 years of professional experience, I have had the privilege to work with many different people from all walks of life. I earned my MSW at Washington University in St. Louis and completed my BSW at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. I have been a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts since 1997. My field placements took place in a community mental health center, an AIDS services organization, and a national reproductive health care provider. Since then, I have worked primarily in acute care and post-acute acre settings with older adults, psychiatric patients, and their families. My clinical interests include adjustment to loss, aging, disability, grief, and healthy relationships. My treatment approach relies on a true social work perspective: the person in the environment. Approaches I consistently employ run the eclectic gamut from psychodynamic to rational emotive to narrative therapy techniques. I believe strongly in the importance of creating a safe space to consider deeply personal issues that affect the quality of our lives over time. As such, I will address whatever is on your mind in order to develop therapeutic insight and improve coping skills. This will occur at your own pace based on treatment goals we identify jointly. I look forward to our time together and the work ahead. Welcome to BetterHelp.
