Hello, I’m so happy you have decided to seek support. Life can be overwhelming at times and getting support is a powerful choice. Often when we look at things together, that seemingly unsolvable knot starts to unravel and the way is clear to move ahead. Many seemingly unpleasant feelings and behaviors you may be experiencing (pain, anxiety, confusion, depression, etc.) are an attempt by some part of us to call awareness to what needs attention. Many feelings and behaviors were once valid functional survival responses – they just don’t work anymore and we need to develop new strategies for doing life. I am a Clinical Social Worker with 30+ years of psychotherapy experience. I graduated from Jane Addams College of Social Work at University of Illinois. I’ve worked extensively with a variety of clients. I create a nurturing intimate space for the therapy work. I believe each person is worthy of respect, non-judgment, and compassion. I believe we can’t be separated into parts – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We are whole beings and must be treated as such. I believe people are unique and wonderful. We don’t fit into molds and boxes. My approach is client-centered, that means YOU centered. One size does not fit all, so I use an integrative approach incorporating various therapeutic models with your healing in mind. Some of these are cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, rational-emotive, and internal family systems. I look forward to working with you.
