Robert Skuy

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a LCSW I am licensed to provide family and individual therapy. I have been a licensed therapist for 7 years. Some of my previous jobs have been teacher, working with developmentally disabled adults for 15 yeas. I also have worked for the State of Oklahoma in Adult Protection Services, Developmental Disabilities and Child Welfare. I have worked with individuals and families who have been involved with Child Welfare investigations. Some of my experiences have been working with individuals with depression, anxiety, emotional and physical abuse, relationship issues. My style is warm and non judgmental. I feel labels limit us but my treatment style can be adjusted to your individual needs. I have used Cognitive Behavioral, EMDR, DBT and even Play therapy and yes even adults can benefit from this. I attend trainings and even at my age I enjoy learning new treatment types. I have enjoyed recently learning about Mindfulness. Mindfulness is as old as the hills. This philosophy or life style has lead me to be more productive recently. I know how difficult it is to reach out for help. By reaching out you are now prepared to work on the issues which are preventing you from enjoying a more rewarding life. Sometimes you feel better just to have someone who will listen to you without judgement and offer occasional advice to help you deal with conflicts.
