Hello! My name is Renee and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia and Florida. I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient, in-home, and crisis stabilization centers. I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, family/relationship conflicts, and complex trauma. I also have experience working with depression, self-harm, low self-esteem, and cultural issues. I use a person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. I work to provide you with the type of treatment that best fits your needs. I also start where you are, and focus on your goals for treatment. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectic behavioral therapy, and solution-focused counseling. I would describe my style as supportive and engaging, and I am ready to help you. I like to work as a team and collaborate. As a team, together we can work on establishing concrete goals and steps for you to help overcome your current problems. I believe in taking it one step at a time, so that we can address your problems head on. We will take our time and work on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently.
