Rene Jourdan

Rene Jourdan, LCPC: Rene is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor specializing in therapy with adults and families who experience a variety of mental health symptoms and are seeking support and solutions. Rene believes in “compassionate and empathetic counseling approaches that support the client in their current situation and empower them to become the person they want to be”. Her integrated approach to therapy is grounded in person-centered, motivational interviewing, reality therapy, solution-focused, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral theoretical concepts. Rene was a key component in the provision of crisis services to individuals in North Idaho via the North Idaho Crisis Line for over five years. She specializes in working with adults who have significant mental health needs, suicide ideation and self harm; as well as, addiction, and comorbid diagnoses. She has supervised multiple programs including: family and peer support, as well as, adult and adolescent substance abuse programs. She is currently a program manager for a SUD program and provides group and individual addiction treatment to clients with substance abuse and comorbid disorders. She enjoys utilizing group modalities and has facilitated several therapeutic groups; including, a coping skills group for adults, a basic mental health processing group, and the Matrix Model of addiction.
