Nereida Martinez

Hello, my name is Nereida Martinez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the state of Texas to provide psychotherapy services. I have over 16 years of experience as a therapist and almost 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in different settings including community clinics, nonprofit organizations, the criminal justice system and in private practice. I believe my experience in these diverse settings has helped me understand people and their social, cultural and spiritual concerns in a more meaningful way. I have helped individual adults, teens and children cope with and heal from depression, anxiety and trauma. I have also helped them with concerns related to adjustment to life changes, managing and living with ADHD, parenting, relationships, and other concerns. My goal as your therapist is to guide you, support you and encourage you to take the steps needed to meet your goals and overcome those obstacles in your life. I focus on providing a client-centered, accepting and safe environment during our sessions.
