Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! My name is Natalie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in North Carolina. I have 9 years of experience working with individuals with mental health and substance abuse concerns. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, school settings, outpatient therapy, in-home therapy, and addictions to include individuals using medication assisted treatment. I use evidenced based treatment; such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. I remain involved in ongoing training to serve the needs of the individuals I work with. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy working with others who have concerns with anxiety, anger management, self-esteem, family conflict, relationship concerns, depression, concerns with sleep, addictions, and trauma. I also have experience working with Veterans. I am open minded and nonjudgmental. I learn from everyone I work with. I enjoy meeting new people and challenging others to work towards being their best self. I am hopeful I can assist you with achieving your goals, so you can better manage your current stressors. I believe one of the most important elements to seeking a therapist is ensuring they are a good fit. If you cannot talk to someone about your concerns, how can it work? My style as a therapist is person centered and interactive. I try to get to know you and your goals, then work in a partnership with you to attain them. I think it is important to develop a plan together and adjust it accordingly as we move along. I am adaptive to you and your specific needs. I enjoy challenging you to try new things! I believe you will find me easy to talk to. I am casual in my style, but determined and focused when it comes to our work together! I do not judge or discriminate. I invite diversity in my practice. I am excited to work with you regardless of your gender identity, sexual orientation, lifestyle choices, religion, cultural background or race. My dedication to the field of mental health and substance use is driven by my personal experiences. I recognize the stigma of mental health and substance use concerns. I see firsthand the daily challenges others have coping with their concerns. I am very passionate about my work. I think counseling is an awesome way to learn and explore new skills to assist in the growing process. I truly believe the more we learn, the more confident and secure we feel about ourselves. I believe there are no “one size fits all” treatments. Growth is a process and takes time, but I believe together we can learn from one another and feel good regarding the progress. I would love the opportunity to assist you! Thanks again for taking the time to get to know me!
