Melanie Sharp

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW-C), with a Clinical specialization in Michigan, with over 17+ years of experience working as a therapist/social worker. My mission is to provide a full-spectrum of counseling services to address issues throughout the lifespan from childhood, adulthood and thru the end of the life cycle. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, the aging process and self-esteem challenges. I desire to provide caring, empathetic and goal-oriented care in a supportive environment. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and motivational interviewing. I will support our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
