I am a professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania. I have worked in various behavioral health settings including community mental health services, community substance use services, and private practice for 19 years. I work with individuals who experience a wide range of symptoms and concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, and career challenges. I have also worked with many people who have experienced trauma and abuse. My therapy style is casual, warm and interactive, although I can be more structured if you prefer. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. You are the expert on you, and you are the hero/heroine of your own story. I look forward to discovering your strengths, and helping you learn and master new ones, so that you can navigate the ups and downs of life on your own and with confidence. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and humanistic principles. We will tailor our dialog and collaborate on your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Change can be hard, it involves both choice and loss, and is sometimes scary. It takes some courage. Being brave doesn’t mean being fearless; it means doing something even though you are afraid. I look forward to seeing you, hearing you, and being witness to your story. I am excited to walk this part of your path with you!
