I am a licensed counselor in Georgia with a broad background across many areas of mental health, including assisted living, substance abuse, grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, and family systems. I have worked with clients from ages 5 to 105 in outpatient, inpatient, community, and residential settings. My experience includes: • Adult and teen substance abuse treatment • Assisted living care with aging populations • Family and community therapy • Grief, loss, and trauma recovery • Gambling, nicotine, and tobacco addiction • Depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation I hold certifications as a Certified Grief Specialist (CGS), Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS II), Certified Pastoral Thanatology Counselor (PT-CPS), Trauma Specialist, Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) with NAADAC, Certified Clinical Addiction Counselor (CMAC) with GACA, play therapy (RPT), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)(CPCS). I’ve also completed specialized training in EMDR, music therapy, and farm stress response counseling (AgriSafe). I earned my Doctorate in Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, MS in Counseling Studies from Capella University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration from Clayton State University. I have postgraduate training in marriage and family therapy, addiction, grief, and trauma treatment through Brighter Tomorrows Institute, Evergreen, PESI, and the American Institute of Health Care Professionals (AIHCP). My approach is integrated and person-centered, drawing from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and expressive methods like play, art, and music therapy to support coping, insight, and growth.
