I am Loretta Hartley-Bangs and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Clinical practice in South Carolina. My career in social work began over 30 years ago as a medical social worker in a community hospital. My practice moved into Behavioral Health and Chemical Dependency and I have been fortunate to work on inpatient behavioral health units as well as outpatient programs. In addition to my clinical work I have been an adjunct professor of social work, teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs. My practice has afforded me the opportunity to work with individuals, families, couples and groups from diverse backgrounds. My perspective and practice is informed by an understanding of systems and families. This enables me to understand the individual and the impact of their own system or family. I understand the courage it takes for an individual or family to seek help and respect the level of readiness of each person. Specialties: Chemical Dependency Trauma Mood disorders Groups
