Leah Farah

My name is Leah Farah and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offering virtual therapy sessions all across the state of Florida. I work with adolescents and adults from all walks of life. I am experienced with treating a variety of life concerns including self-esteem issues, anxiety, family concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and depression. My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength based, and trauma informed. I use an integrative approach that is tailored based off of the needs of my clients and what may work for them. My therapy style draws from Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Midfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy. My experience is varied across settings, as I have provided individual and family therapy as well as case management services in community mental health agencies and school settings. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I believe that therapy is a tool for self-exploration and finding the meaning behind events in your life. I use a collaborative approach to developing goals and tackling issues. Although addressing goals set-forth in therapy is important, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the strongest indicator of success in a therapeutic setting. I would like for my clients to always feel like they are being heard and that they are my priority while we are working together. It takes courage to be vulnerable in a therapeutic setting. I aim to work with all of my clients with the upmost respect as I honor the position that I am placed in, in being trusted to develop a therapeutic relationship and working together towards a more fulfilling and happier life.
