I have certificates in Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I’d like to believe I have been successful in this profession for so many years because not only am I compassionate and non-judgmental, I value the importance of the relationship between a counselor and a client. Trust, communication, and empathy are so important in this field and it is important that clients feel validated.
