Dr. Kathryn McCormic

I am a doctoral level Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I graduated with a master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2005 and my Doctorate in Social Work in 2023. I am currently teaching at a local university, but spent 20 years working with a variety of individuals from the very young to the aged. My clients have dealt with a wide range of issues including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse and trauma, addiction, and codependency. I am passionate about helping others and always feel privileged to be able to walk with someone on their journey. We are all human beings with life experiences that shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us, but there comes a point where want to break free from those past experiences and create a new vision. I am a relational therapist and have been trained in many different treatment modalities including EMDR, DBT, and CBT. I tend to utilize interventions and techniques grounded in Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapies depending on the clients’ individualized needs. I believe everyone has the power within themselves to create the life they want, sometimes it just takes a little support and guidance to help us start moving in the right direction.
