Hi and thank you for taking the time to view my profile! My name is Kara Carola and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. I have over twelve years of experience in the counseling field and have worked with many kids, adolescents and adults challenged by various struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and life changing transitions and situations. My personal approach to therapy is extremely strengths-based, client-centered, and solution-focused. When working with clients, I do my best to provide a safe, trusting, and positive environment. I understand the importance of a strong rapport within the therapeutic relationship and have been told that my genuineness and positive energy make it easier for people to connect and share their stories. I strongly believe that everyone has various strengths that once identified and utilized, can be the primary resources to help achieve positive change. I strive to be a support in helping a person gain insight and in turn use it to take action and achieve results. Your strengths will be highlighted in treatment planning, goal setting and will be used as a foundation as I pull from various treatment modalities to best meet your individual needs.
