Hello! I look forward to hearing from you. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 20 years of experience as both a therapist and clinical supervisor. My academic background includes two Master’s degrees: one in Marriage and Family Therapy and another focused on research in Human and Environmental Geography. Throughout my career, I’ve supported many military veterans, college students, mothers and parents, and individuals grappling with disordered eating, depression, shame, and perfectionism, among other concerns. I am also a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF), trained in Dr. Brené Brown’s transformative research on shame and vulnerability. On a personal level, I’m quite down-to-earth and analytical. I often find clarity and explore my thoughts about life and human nature while hiking and backpacking. Professionally, I’m skilled at helping clients discover the underlying mechanisms that may unknowingly reinforce problematic patterns in their lives. I’ve found that with enough time listening, just about everyone’s story makes sense. My practice centers on a collaborative style: “we’re going to unravel this together and make sense of your story here so that you can then make the changes you need and want for yourself.” I’m flexible in my approach, able to offer structured homework or allow you to guide the flow and pace of our sessions. The most important thing to know is that we navigate this journey of discovery together!
