Joyce Duval

Hi, I’m Joyce Duval, and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and approved supervisor with the Oregon Board of licensed professional counselors and therapists. I am also a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington. In my over 25 years of experience, I have worked with clients with a wide range of life problems and mental health disorders. I take a client-centered approach and emphasize positive counselor-client relationships. I use cognitive-behavioral approaches, including dialectical behavior therapy. I am a warm and caring person. My style includes listening for meaning and feeling and helping my clients problem solve, develop coping skills, and find solutions to their concerns and problems. I find mindfulness super helpful when it comes to feeling more at ease, more relaxed, more present, and overall, happier. I am happy to help you problem solve, manage your symptoms like anxiety and depression, and in general help you create the life you want for yourself.
