Hello, my name is Jenny and I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina providing therapy through Better Help. I’m so glad you have decided to explore therapy. I completed a BA in Psychology from NCCU and earned my Master of Social Work at NC State. For many years, I have partnered with countless individuals in my work at local hospitals and various outpatient settings to help them process their feelings and move forward with a healthier mindset. My overall message has always been, ‘ Go where you’re celebrated, not where you’re tolerated!’ I believe in actively listening to understand the stressors, thoughts, feelings, and values of my clients so I can reflect their resilient strength and increase their awareness. No matter who we are, when we’re confronted with problems it’s helpful to have reflection from someone who is compassionate, has personal and professional experience, is educated and unbiased. But ultimately, I believe we’re healthiest when we can become confident in knowing ourselves best with or without affirmation from others. I employ a variety of strategies to help you re-frame the challenges of your life and navigate the trauma and loss. I am adept at solution-focused brief therapy. My foundation is built on cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy approaches. In essence, if you change the way you think, you can change the way you behave. I am grateful to provide therapy and would be honored to assist you .
