Jehlisah Vaccarella

Hi there! My name is Jehlisah and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. I have over 10 years experience working with individuals with substance use concerns, trauma, adjustment and life transitions, depression, anxiety and other serious mental illnesses. My experience is primarily in an outpatient setting, however, I have worked in residential settings as well. I have worked primarily with adults, age 18 and over, however I do have some experience working with children with histories of trauma, family concerns, life transitions and peer relationships. I am extremely passionate about mental health and substance use due to growing up surrounded by mental health and having my own personal experiences with it. I believe that every client’s needs are different and I approach each client with a different perspective and take a person-centered approach. I tend to draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy strategies, Stages of Change Model, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused techniques. I would describe my approach as collaborative – meaning, I partner alongside you to work through whatever is that you are experiencing. I do not believe in solving things for you, but rather, assisting you in finding ways to cope or handle situations so that lasting changes are made. We all struggle in life but sharing those struggles with someone is extremely vulnerable. It is important to me to take the time to get to know you and build a relationship to where you feel comfortable sharing.
