Often, they struggle to see their own worth, burdened with negative core beliefs and memories of their past. They’ve felt like they haven’t had control in their life for far too long. They’re exhausted, burnt out, and don’t know where else to turn. They are humans having human reactions to this wild ride called life. My clients are adults (18+) who thrive with online therapy. They are looking for help with their problems and want to see someone from the comfort of their own homes. Because Capital City Counseling is fully telehealth, I am licensed and able to serve individuals living in the states of Louisiana, Nevada, or Utah. My professional experience in the field of mental health has afforded me an opportunity to impact hundreds of lives. This experience has also impacted yours truly (me). I am experienced and comfortable with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, family conflict, addiction, self-esteem, chronic relapse, traumatic brain injury, anger management, gambling, parenting, infidelity, ADHD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, self-harming, oppositional defiance, coping skills, impulsivity, spirituality, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, personality disorders, dual diagnosis, emotional disturbance, relationship issues, divorce behavioral issues, codependency, racial identity, trauma and PTSD, and stress. I specialize in treating maternal and postpartum mental health issues, trauma recovery, and the unique issues marginalized individuals and individuals within the BIPOC communities face. I believe in the inherent ability of everyone to heal and grow when provided the appropriate opportunity. My approach is honoring, kind, and forthright to enable you to feel safe, not judged, and make the progress you desire on your path to enhanced well-being. My strengths lie in helping you negotiate and sort through the complicated choices, transitions & challenges life presents. You’ve already taken that first step, and I’m proud of you.
