Jamie Wells

Hello! My name is Jamie and I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Louisiana and Texas. I have been working in the mental health field for 4 years. I have worked with individuals experiencing a variety of issues including addiction, trauma, autism and/or Aspergers, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, LGBTQIA, and borderline personality disorder. I have worked with clients aged 4 to 65. In my third year as an elementary school teacher, I observed that my students needed more than just a capable teacher…several of them were demonstrating struggles with anxiety, thoughts of harm, and more. It is then when I decided to apply to my graduate program. I attended Louisiana Tech University, where I earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I would describe myself as open-minded and relatable. I truly believe that we are all on different paths, but with communication and empathy, we can work together to help each other grow. I would love to help you grow in whatever area you may feel you need. In order to do so, I will utilize a thoughtful combination of Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I look forward to working with you!
