Heather Thorson

I am a clinically licensed social worker in the State of Nevada I’ve been a licensed social worker since 2008 and clinically licensed since November 2017 (license number 7740-C). I am also an approved clinical supervisor for interns seeking clinical social work licensure within the states of Nevada and Alabama. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, depression, & coping with life changes. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I also use solution focused therapy. I am a believer of utilizing mindfulness, grounding, and intentional practices.
