Glynn Griggs

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (licensed in the state of Tennessee) with over 12 years experience working as a psychotherapist, certified grief and loss counselor, and life coach. My specialties include counseling for artists, performers, and other creative individuals, grief & loss counseling, relationship challenges, LGBTQ affirmative counseling, anxiety, and spiritual/religious concerns. My principle approach to therapy is Person-Centered. I believe that each person has within themselves vast resources for self-understanding, and has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change. I provide a therapeutic relationship with empathy and unconditional positive regard to help facilitate change. Other clinical approaches to therapy include Mindfulness Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I collaborate with my clients to explore ways to come to yourself with kindness, to build upon what you already know about yourself.
