My first month of graduate school I learned that people having mental health difficulties often get better on their own, and that therapy helps speed up that process. Fourteen years later, and I am still honored to be a part of people’s efforts to improve their lives. Therapy is a collaboration to address the stressors one faces, be the problems external, such as job or relationship difficulties, or internal, such as thoughts and feelings that serve as barriers to making improvements.
