Dr. Doris Atanmo-Strempek

Hello! My name is Dr Doris Atanmo-Strempek. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio, a Clinical Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Mexico. Being licensed in three states has exposed me to diverse populations and the specific issues particular to that region. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and several of the divisions within the association. I earned my Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Akron. I am a clinical researcher, a psycho education presenter and a Counselor Educator to graduate students seeking to join the field of clinical counseling. I have been a licensed practitioner for over 13 years. I specialize in women’s issues using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy modalities. My counseling style is warm and person centered. I utilize a wholistic approach to reach my clients. We all intrinsically have what we need to be whole. My work with you is to help you uncover those inner strengths and empower you to develop effective coping skills to navigate through life.
