My name is Donna Young. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and a graduate degree in counseling psychology from Bowie State University. I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1995, with experience providing care in various local and federal agencies, schools, and health care systems. I am skilled to treat individuals struggling with many life issues such as grief, work stress, relationship stress, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, spirituality, and women’s issues. My theoretical framework consists of a holistic approach and integrates key components of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and solution focused therapy. I enjoy helping people work through problems until they find solutions and develop new insight. Overall, I strive to help individuals live a happier, healthier, and more productive life.
