Donna Marchant-Roof

Hello, my name is Donna Marchant-Roof. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. I was born in New York and moved to Virginia 28 years ago. My Bachelors degree is in Psychology from Mercy College in New York and my Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW) is from Norfolk State University, in Virginia. I have been licensed since 1995. My career includes work with children, teens and adult or all ages related to anxiety, depression, trauma and life changes. Most recently my career focus has been on older adults, lifestyle adjustments related to changing medical conditions and life transitions, grief and loss. In addition I have had the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time coaching executives and individuals moving into leadership positions within the healthcare environment. My training is in a number of evidence based approaches, including, solution focused, person centered and mindfulness techniques. My approach is holistic addressing all aspects of you as an individual. I believe it is important to celebrate the wins, focus on what is working and set realistic goals to address the desired changes. We will start where you are, develop a path together and utilize evidence based tools along the way to facilitate goal achievement. Congratulations on taking this step.
