Cynthia Jenkins

I am a licensed mental health practitioner with over 30 years of experience counseling in various settings such as low-income communities and in a university counseling center. I have taught psychology at various universities and am currently an adjunct professor of psychology. I train post-graduate students in aspects of psychology that they will need to know to pass their board exams in medicine and dentistry. I hold a Ph.D. in Social Psychology through which I’ve explored conflicts (social, ethnic, political…) in various countries. I was also a Licenced Massage Therapist for over 30 years. I love to travel, interact with people from various cultural and spiritual perspectives to understand them and hone my understanding of myself in relation to others. I come from a very eclectic family background via racial, religious, educational, social, judicial, political and sexual orientations. This being said, I am thus eclectic in my approach to counseling. I welcome clients where they are at and strive to explore where they are willing to go mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually to feel better and to achieve their dreams. Also, I have to add, I adore the outdoors and have been a proponent of the environment since I was a child. I still love to play in the rain.
