Welcome! My name is Christina Ramdat and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey. Currently, I am also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) for the state of New Jersey. Additionally, I am certified in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention. At this time I have received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology in 2016 and currently in pursuit of a PhD in Organizational Leadership related to Business Psychology. I have over 8 years of clinical experience, working with Co-Occurring populations. This means that in my practice I focus on mental health and substance abuse issues concurrently. I have experience working with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, and trauma related issues such as sexual, physical and emotional abuse. In addition, I have worked extensively with individuals who suffer from substance abuse disorders and provided relapse prevention and effective coping skills to help them address their issues. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and encouraging. I truly believe that with the right support any individual is capable of overcoming all obstacles. My counseling approach combines a number of different styles which includes motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducation, and solution-focused therapy. However, please note that my counseling style is tailored to meet your specific needs and help accomplish your unique goals for therapy. My counseling motto is “Turn Pain Into Power.” I am significantly invested in empowering you to achieve all that you set out to accomplish in therapy as I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and kindness. Should you feel in need of urgent help or that you are in crisis at any time during our work together; please call 1-800-273-TALK 24 hours a day; or 911. This forum does not provide any type of emergency services, so I want to be sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help. As you take the first steps to reach out for help, it is already a testimony to your strength, resilience and bravery. I am proud of you. Please know that I am genuinely here to support and empower you throughout your journey as it would truly be an honor to see you transform in your healing process and ultimately become a healthier, stronger and happier you!
