Dr. Carol Parham

Hello, I am Carol Parham, Ed.D., LMHC. I earned a doctorate degree in education. counseling and supervision a master’s degree in mental health counseling and licensed mental health counselor. I am an adoption-competent trainer/therapist and a certified trauma therapist. Throughout my mental health internship and licensure years I have worked with children, adults and families toward improving how to navigate through life’s daily challenges. I have provided therapeutic mental health services for children and adults that include topics of anxiety, anger, stress, depression, low self-esteem, living placement adjustments, adoption process, bonding and attachments with peers and adults, relationship building, separation from loved ones, grief, loss, end of life, and physical/emotional traumatic abuse. It is of the upmost importance to provide everyone with care, compassion and understanding. I believe in a holistic and organic way of exploring each person’s wants and needs, as well as encourage active participation to develop a personal healing journey of what one’s life is meant to be. I offer client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, expressive activities and/or mindfulness activities; all of which contribute to creating a safe and comfortable therapy experience.
