Hi there! I’m Brooke and am glad you have taken the step forward toward wellness. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have 11 years experience working as a social worker and mental health professional, and specialize in Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Transpersonal Psychology (mindfulness as it relates to an individual’s spiritual journey), with a specific emphasis on grief and bereavement. I am a former Hospice social worker and have journeyed with many individuals as they navigate the complexities and nuances of grief. I also have worked extensively with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and thought disorders. As a white cis-gendered female I seek to support individuals of all gender and racial background. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, focusing on empowering individuals as they heal. I utilize a blend of ACT and Narrative therapy to create a holistic and personalized therapy experience. I believe that a strong therapeutic rapport is essential for healing and it is my hope that you feel safe and heard during each therapy session. That said, I welcome any feedback from you if are not feeling safe/supported so that we can adjust therapy approaches. Feel free to visit my Psychology Today profile: https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1389840 Take good care, I look forward to accompanying you on your journey toward self-discovery, healing, and wellness!
