Brittany Lauer

I am a licensed independent social worker located in Ohio. For the past ten years, my primary role has been a stay at home mom to my ten year old boy/girl twins, seven year old daughter and five year old son. Now that they are getting older and are less dependent on me, I am ready to return to my first passion, which is social work. I have experience with grief and loss counseling as a pregnancy counselor at a private adoption agency. I have experience with parents and their children in a school setting, providing school based mental health therapy and helping their parents find strategies at home. I have provided anxiety training to parents, students and staff at a local 4-8th grade school. I have provided Cognitive-Behavioral therapy to treat anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, oppositional-defiant disorder, bipolar disorder, Asperger’s, and ADHD. I have a strengths based approach to my counseling and am a strong advocate for my clients’ needs. I am compassionate, empathetic, and caring.
