I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I care about your life and the things that you have been through. I offer a space of nonjudgmental compassion to create a safe environment where you can feel free to express yourself. I have a passion for helping people work through their issues to reach healing. My passion for helping others stems from my own life experiences. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have worked in many different environments, which include a residential substance abuse facility, a nonprofit community outreach organization, correctional institutions for men and women, private practice, and a community behavioral center. In all my work I have learned that at the core people are simple in many ways and complex in others. I would love to stand alongside you and help you to effectively manage the difficulties you are experiencing in life. Thank you for having the courage and strength to reach out and ask for help. I have worked with a wide range of issues from depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and mood disorders. My approach to treatment is eclectic, but the modality of treatment that I use most frequently is Cognitive Behavioral approach. Another approaches that I also frequently use are EMDR. I also use Motivational Interviewing, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Gestalt methods fairly consistently. Your treatment is about you and you are the most important person in the room so I encourage feedback that is both affirming of what is working and candid feedback about what is not working for you. Each person is different and what works for one person may not work for another so I need feedback to give you the treatment that is most effective for you as an individual.
