I am a graduate of Texas Woman’s University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a graduate of Amberton University where I’ve earned Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I have additionally earned a license in Chemical dependency as I have learned many struggle with addictions that contribute to challenges in their lives and I am here to help. I believe therapy is a process of meeting people where they are and helping them navigate the path to where they want to be. You can expect a thoughtful and collaborative approach that is tailored to your specific needs while valuing your autonomy. My integrative style involves clarifying what gives your life meaning and purpose, compassionate curiosity of yourself and your most important relationships. My goal is to encourage you to cultivate skills to help you make lasting changes to live a fulfilling life. Together, we will create an environment of mutual trust, respect and safety that honors the complexity of your unique human experience and salient identities. As we work together you will learn to take delight in your strengths and to tolerate and accommodate your weaknesses. Along the way, uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety, sadness, feeling stuck, over-using substances and other problems will improve. My commitment to and belief in personal autonomy means I won’t tell you what to do-which would presume that I know what is right for you-but will instead guide you on your own path of self-discovery.
