I am licensed in the State of Maine as a LCSW. I have a BA in Psychology from the University of Maine and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. I have been in practice since 2006. I have worked in hospital settings, outpatient practice, community agencies, and school settings. My primary therapy approach is person centered and that a strong therapeutic relationship is key for growth and achievement of treatment goals. Therapy should be an authentic experience in which the client is heard and valued. I approach therapeutic relationships with care, empathy, and gentle directiveness. I believe that true change and growth must happen from the inside out and is guided by the client. I have the most experience working with clients managing depression and anxiety, also change of life circumstances such as divorce, parenting, moving, ect. I use theories and techniques derived from mindfulness, expressive therapy, and DBT. Treatment is built on what best suits the client to help them reach their goals.
