I am a licensed mental health counselor and author who has served the South Florida community for more than a decade. I was driven by the need to help others and I began my career as a special education teacher and guidance counselor for the New York City Board of Education. My work as a trauma therapist was inspired by my own personal experiences with adversity. Some of our greatest difficulties can turn out to be our greatest assets. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s degree in counselor education from the City University of New York. My style incorporates a Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based Approach. I believe that the therapeutic alliance is the greatest predictor of change. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-focused CBT. Whatever may not feel right in your life at the moment, we can explore those areas in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
