Anthony O'Leary

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state with over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Much of my work has been in community mental health in a variety of settings serving individuals with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and navigating life’s transitions. I have a particular interest in working with older adults and their loved ones as they deal with the multiple challenges involved with aging. I have training and experience in a number of evidence based practices, including (but not limited to) cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, and motivational interviewing. Most importantly, I believe that therapy is an interactive relationship and will also help you develop your own strengths and resources to help you resolve your unique situation and bring more satisfaction into your life. My style is supportive and empathetic, and based on respect for you and the choice you have made to seek therapy. I will often provide observations and alternatives, but recognize that you are ultimately in charge of the process and will support you in making the best possible decisions for yourself.
