Andrea Pugh

Hi there!! My name is Andrea. During our sessions, I’ll utilize person centered, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help transform thinking patterns and behaviors. I also enjoy using humor, smiles, and laughter to aid in the art of healing. I love to incorporate holistic techniques and provide a comfortable and safe space for clients to blossom and embrace necessary change. I believe that treatment is a team effort and can only be effective through the use of transparency, honesty, and accountability. I also believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. Since 2011, I have worked with children and adults ages 5 and up in various settings including schools, community mental health agencies, substance abuse clinics, and corrections. I have experience in treating addiction, anger management, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have also worked extensively with individuals struggling with symptoms of serious mental illnesses including Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I am currently licensed in Texas, Oregon, and Maryland. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my black labrador retriever, Bentley. I love to travel, go to concerts, dance, sing, and laugh loud. I’m looking forward to working with you!
