Dr. Andrea Hayes

Greetings, I am a former educator and a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of North Carolina with over ten years of professional experience. I hold two counseling degrees, a Master’s in Community Counseling and a Ph.D. in Advanced Studie in Human Behavior (Counseling). I have worked with clients in the prison setting, juvenile justice department, private practice, military facilities, and community-based agencies. I treated my former clients for concerns to include depression, anxiety, ODD, ADHD, and substance abuse. I have also worked with clients who experienced physical and emotional trauma. As a therapist, I believe in making my clients feel as comfortable as possible by building rapport through trust and mutual respect. I work very diligently to help make the therapeutic environment warm and inviting. My most used counseling approach is person-centered, as well as the implementation of cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy very often in my therapy sessions. The treatment plan will be adjusted based on your specific needs and if other approaches are required, we will plan accordingly.
