My name is Amy Gorton and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 17 years of clinical experience. My primary focus and specialty area is around Women’s emotional, mental and physical health but I also work with female clients with a range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, family issues, school/career challenges, life changes/stages as well as grief and loss, OCD and ADD/ADHD. My treatment style is warm, interactive and compassionate. I believe in earning respect through giving respect. My treatment approach combines Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic and Family Systems Theories. I will tailor the therapeutic sessions to meet your unique and specific needs and goals. It takes courage to ask for help and to accept help so if you are ready to take that step then I look forward to meeting you.
