Amanda Rowe

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and Colorado with over 7 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, career challenges, and ADHD. Additionally, I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and provide support to clients who might be struggling with their identity, family problems and self-esteem. I believe that families and relationships come in all shapes and sizes and I am both kink and poly aware. Due to both familial and personal experiences with mental health concerns, grief, and trauma, I was drawn to therapy from a young age. Positive experiences with counseling lead me to develop an interest in pursuing therapy as a career. I believe the best therapists must first have experience as clients themselves, and I do not believe in stigmatizing mental health concerns. Instead, I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and nonjudgmental and I am client centered, using various interventions from a range of therapeutic approaches. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, crafting, watching sci-fi or anime, and playing video games. I also have no problem with labeling myself as a Trekkie, and named both of my dogs after Star Trek characters. If you are looking for a nerdy therapist, I definitely fit that bill. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life, and to take the first steps towards change.
