Dr. Alexandra Hershberger

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Kentucky with 5 years of experience of providing therapy to adults. My passion is providing a listening ear and evidence-based approaches to help clients, like yourself, manage their struggles and problems. I believe in treating the whole person, being attentive to mental health, physical health, and social health. I am glad you have taken the difficult step of reaching out for help. I have a wide array of mental health needs I have helped clients with and here are some of my specialties: -Substance use disorders (including tobacco) -Post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma (childhood abuse, sexual abuse, first responder and military trauma) -Insomnia -Emotion regulation -Communication skills -Anxiety and Depression My degree is in clinical health psychology, which has given me great experience in working with clients that present with mental health and physical health issues that occur together (from a mental health lens), including: -Chronic pain -Gastrointestinal problems -High blood pressure and/or cholesterol -Obesity -Diabetes -Liver disease My training is in working with adults, ages 18+ and I have worked with adults across the life span.
