I specialize in work with teenagers and adults, pairing cognitive and behavioral strategies to re-frame current issues and practice skills that will encourage the self-empowerment needed to make long-term changes. I have over 5 years of experience working with primary and secondary victims of childhood sexual abuse and human trafficking. As a licensed clinical social worker, with specialties related to abuse, neglect and family conflict I utilize strategies from Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy to guide clients as they navigate their own thoughts, feelings and behaviors. As a certified social caseworker I am especially skilled in navigating internal and external resources to help clients help themselves. We will work together to determine what goals and changes are most important to you, and how you can achieve them. I root my practice in the belief that partnership, transparency and a client’s self-determination are most important. I strive to create a supportive connection that allows opportunity for validation, challenge, and growth. I will cultivate a supportive relationship, follow your lead, and hold you accountable to the changes you’d like to see in your life.
