Petersburg is a community-focused organization that offers a wide range of programs and services to support the health and well-being of individuals and families. They provide group exercise classes, personal training, and community health programs, including programs for cancer recovery, diabetes prevention, and more. The YMCA also offers youth sports, aquatics, and swim lessons, as well as childcare services through their 22 school locations and three YMCA Preschool Academies. With a mission to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice, the YMCA aims to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. They have multiple locations throughout southern Pinellas County, including the Bardmoor YMCA, Jim & Heather Gills YMCA, and Speer YMCA. The YMCA is committed to protecting children and providing a safe and supportive environment for all members.
