The Yale Child Study Center has been serving children and families since 1911, with a mission to improve the lives of children and families through research, service, and training. Our roles include being the Department of Child Psychiatry for the Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital, a center for basic neurodevelopment research, and providing clinical services in clinic, community, and home settings. Our faculty are shaping policies domestically and internationally and we offer educational programs such as professional trainings in child psychiatry, social work, and child psychology, as well as research, intervention, and prevention trainings. We strive to make sure every child has access to the best resources and care available.
